John L. Timmons

John Timmons retired from the practice of law effective on December 31, 2016. Before becoming a lawyer, John was in the U.S. Army, SPS Germany (1970-72) and a member of the U.S. Peace Corps stationed in the Philippines (1968-70). John Timmons began his legal career as a law clerk for Hon. Urban J. Steimann in the Minnesota District Court (1975-76). He started his career as a lawyer on August 1, 1976, and enjoyed a forty-year career with the Pasley and Singer Law Firm. John concentrated his practice on civil litigation, which he ejoyed immensely because of his strong beliefs in advocacy for those in need. John is an Ames native and, upon his return from seeing the world and learning the law, became a tireless community volunteer and earning the gratitude of many.
